Mads Meier Jæger
Welcome to my website. I am Professor of Sociology at the University of Copenhagen.
My research revolves around intergenerational mobility, social stratification, public opinion, and applied econometrics. My research has appeared in peer-reviewed journals such as American Sociological Review, American Journal of Sociology, and Social Forces. This all sounds awfully tedious. Put simple: I'm interested in finding out for example why children resemble their parents with regard to how education they get, why more physically attractive people earn more than less attractive ones (and why taller people don't support income redististribution as much as shorter ones), and how immigration flows to Wisconsin before 1900 affected education and income in three generations from the same family.
Please feel free to contact me if you're interested in my work.
